🛠️ How to Create a Bootable USB using Etcher
To install macOS Sequoia using the .dmg
file, you’ll need to flash it to a USB drive. We recommend using Etcher—a simple and reliable tool available on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
🔧 Steps:
Download Etcher
Get Etcher from the official website: https://etcher.ioOpen Etcher
Select the macOS Sequoia
.dmg
file
Click on "Flash from file" and choose your downloadedmacOS_Sequoia.dmg
.Insert your USB drive
Plug in a USB drive with at least 16GB of storage (all data will be erased).Select the USB drive
Etcher will automatically detect it. Double-check it's the correct drive!Click “Flash!”
Wait for the process to complete. It may take several minutes.Done!
You now have a bootable macOS Sequoia USB installer.
💡 Tip:
After flashing, you may need to boot from the USB drive using your system’s boot menu or BIOS settings. For Hackintosh setups, make sure your EFI folder is correctly configured.
